5Well worth it at this price!
By P. W. Sheehan
Classy look and very durable. Very nice watch for the price. I bought mine at a discount store and paid about $6 more for it. I like it, despite its 10mm thickness. Not that heavy if you’re like me, 6’2″ and 250lbs. It’s a man’s watch, practical yet with some style while not being trendy. I haven’t had any problems with it so far, despite having dropped it twice and worn it outside while working and getting it soaked with sweat multiple times. I don’t find it uncomfortable at all and I forget I am wearing it. (I suggest taking it off, the leather band doesn’t clean easily like a metal band.) I’m considering buying a second one and keeping it cleaner this time. (Lesson learned.)

1Great Design, Bad Execution
By S. Yulianto
The design of this watch is the main reason I purchased this watch. Roman numerals and simple white face is just a classic. Unfortunately the mechanism that control the date change doesnt work. It change date not at 12 midnight, but at 8pm. I have to spend more money to get it fixed.

4Beautiful & Great Value with a few minor shortcomings
By Matthew Decker Maurer
I love this watch and wear it more than any other watch that I own. The weight is nice, the styling is fantastic, the face is easily readable at a glance, the Indiglo and water resist are great features.

There are just a few minor things that keep it from being perfect.

The leather band is thick and very stiff. I have been wearing mine nearly every day for over a year now, and the band is only relaxed in the spot where the buckle sits. There were originally two loops to hold the loose end of the strap, and the sliding one fell off after about a month of use. I don’t miss it and am not sure why it was there in the first place. The restraining loop that is fixed in place is still there and seems solid.

It is a leather band. It has darkened a bit from contact with my skin and is showing typical leather creases/cracks where it bends through the buckle. I don’t expect it to last forever, and it will slowly change character with use. If I wanted it to stay looking new during years of use, I would have bought some other material. Instead, I love the way the leather looks and feels. The leather is wearing well, and I expect to get another year of use (or more) before I need to replace the band.

I would still probably give it a 5 star review, except that I am seeing a scattering of tiny rust spots on the back side of the watch. Although it is water resistant, I personally don’t wear this watch while swimming or showering. I have a Coleman watch with a plastic body and a nylon band that I can use for diving. If I notice that my Timex has gotten wet, I will take it off and wipe it; mostly because I want the band to look nice as long as possible. The spots do not appear on the front or sides. There are no spots on the stainless steel plate that covers the works; they are only on the back side of the body. I had a different Timex that I wore for 15+ years until I lost it. I never saw rust on that one. I am hoping to find a simple solution for cleaning the rust off of this one (add a comment if you have an idea). This may be due to something specific I exposed this watch to, rather than a common occurrence.

Overall, I am very happy with this as my primary casual daily watch. I have not seen anything that I like nearly as well until you get into a significantly higher price range.
