The Bulova StoryIn 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his skillfulness carried over into his watchmaking career, which started out around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technical innovations: the wristwatch.

Bulova introduced it is introductory line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, “America runs on Bulova time.” In the 1950s, continuing it is bequest of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the introductory electronic watch, and the original breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have held official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.

Today, Bulova maintains it is tradition of excellency in engineering and design, supplying a diverse collection of finelooking precision timepieces for each occasion.

Pretty decent cheap watch

I purchased this watch for 28.00. For the price, it’s not too bad. The quality is what I would expect from a watch in this price range. I would not pay the 49.50 listed on Amazon right now. The weight is light and feels a little cheap (since it is) and mine actually has finger prints on the inside of the window (really only noticeable under mag).

I replaced it’s cheap stainless band with a black ballistic nylon band, which is MUCH more comfortable and totally changes the look.

What I do love about it, is the contrast between the face, numbers and hands. It is very easy to read in most light conditions. The lum on the hands, and a dot at 12, glows pretty bright and lasts through the night. The numbers and ring around the bezel glow dimly from glow in the dark plastic.

I haven’t had it long enough to track how well it keeps time, but so far so good.

horrible watch

I received this watch and the battery was dead and the pin was broken. The cost of repair exceeded the cost of the watch. Very disappointed.
